Luke Combs Releases “Great Divide” and Announces Future Bluegrass Album

Luke Combs is working on a bluegrass album! Today he released “The Great Divide” with Billy Strings, a bluegrass song. In a press release he sent about the song, he wrote that he was planning a bluegrass album; however, it was being put on hold for a third country album. Artists have been known to do noncountry albums; Dierks Bentley released a bluegrass album “Up on the Ridge” back in 2010. Garth Brooks released a rock album as Chris Gaines back in the 90s. However, in the climate where things are going away from traditional country to a pop sound, I never thought an artist would consider doing it again. It’s a fun time in country music right now, “Cover Me Up” by Morgan Wallen is a cover of an Americana song. Now Luke Combs is bringing bluegrass to the main stage, we might have some fantastic music coming up on the horizon.
