Well, better late than never, right? The 2023 Nascar season started back in February, with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. taking the first checkered flag at the Daytona 500. Since then, we have seen an electric season filled with world renowned Formula 1 drivers coming into our sport, the GOAT Jimmie Johnson running a few races, and Hendrick Motorsports dominating once again despite constantly running into penalties every week and superstar Chase Elliot missing the past month with a leg injury. Young gun Christopher Bell is currently at the top of the points, with daredevil Ross Chastain closely following behind. Kevin Harvick, who struggled mightily a year ago is sitting in 3rd, trying to close out his storied career with another championship. But this article isn’t about them, it’s about the strong women backing these warriors on the track each week. Some of these women are models, some are cheerleaders, and some have more normal jobs. It doesn’t matter what walk of life they came from; these are the 10 hottest women in Nascar for 2023.
A little later this year, it’s time to announce the 10 hottest women in country music in 2023. For the third year in a row, we held a poll and asked our readings to rank the qualified women from 1 to 10. To qualify, each of these women had to rank on one of the year end billboard charts. These charts are made up of the top streaming, radio airplay, and purchased songs for the entire 2022 year. Then, we took all these women and put them on the list. In 2023, we had 18 talented women eligible for this list. I am happy to announce that 2023 was the record for votes in this poll. Thank you for everyone who missed Beats Beer Bonfires and thank you for coming back. Without further a due though, here is the list.
10. Carly Pearce
Let’s get the list started off very strong. Carly has been on the list all three years we’ve done it. She’s been all over the list, being as high as #2 and as low as #10. This just is based on how we do the voting, but being a mainstay says a lot about her looks… beautiful. As for her music, it’s still fantastic. She is still riding the divorce a little bit, and I’m hoping her next album is based on a new muse, but every song of her’s still hits hard. Carly has quietly become potential the biggest name in country music for a woman. I hope she stays close to her Kentucky roots in making great country music for years to come.
9. Katelyn Brown
Is Katelyn a country singer? Maybe not, but her and her husband Kane topped the country charts last year, so she qualifies for the list. Maybe Katelyn is a flash in the pan with a country career. Maybe she gets the Gwen Stefani treatment and pops up on more of Kane’s songs. Either way, Katelyn gets to make her debut on the hottest women in country list.
8. Ingrid Andress
Ingrid has had an up and down start to her country career. She brings elements of pop to her performances, as she started writing music in LA. Her debut album was a massive success and went double platinum. She hasn’t had much radio success since that album, but her fans have continuously shown out and listened to her music. In fact, she has multiple platinum selling songs that didn’t perform well at radio. I’m not sure what Ingrid has in store for her career, but with the fanbase she has, she will be around for a long time.
7. Hailey Whitters
The second of three newcomers to this list is Hailey Whitters. The 33-year-old from Iowa is riding the viral success of “Everything She Ain’t” all the way to #7 on this list. I had the opportunity to see Hailey perform a few months ago, and she’s an absolute force. I also made my TikTok debut when my girlfriend posted a video of me and my buddies dancing along to the song. I don’t know a ton about Hailey right now. She liked a video of my dog so that’s cool, but I expect her to be hitting the top of the charts in the next few years.
6. Gabby Barrett
The future Carrie Underwood ironically finishes right under Carrie on the list. A top 3 voice on here, Gabby is still only 23 years old, yet a mainstay in country. Gabby has released four singles in her career, but three of them have been platinum sellers. Her career has been quiet it feels since she had her two kids. I expect once her family gets established and she is ready to hit the road again, Gabby will become a massive star. Her songs bring elements of country music that make it easy to listen to. Her sound also straddles the line of mainstream enough to appeal to a wide audience. Gabby is another artist that I would expect to be on this list for a long time. She’s going to explode again like she did with “I Hope” early on.
5. Carrie Underwood
The modern-day country queen, Carrie stays on the list for the third time. What’s there to say about Carrie, She has the best voice in the world, and she’s an all-time great. She’s has the honor of being the oldest on the list at 40 years old. That just goes to show that she is aging amazingly. Despite being the oldest, she’s going to outlast a lot of these younger women, both on the list and career longevity. Carrie released a new single in March “Out of that Truck” which might indicate a new album coming soon. That would be a surprise from Carrie, generally she waits at least three years between albums. Either way she’s still the best, still royalty, and still a mainstay on the hottest women in country list.
4. Lauren Alaina
Laurena Alaina is the 4th of the 5 artists who have been on all three editions of this list and gets her highest ranking in 2023. Lauren got to double dip a little bit, as her duet with Dustin Lynch “Thinkin’ Bout You” got to keep her on the list. It’s a shame this is the case, Lauren is the top artist on my list of talented singers who continue to get screwed by radio. She last released music in 2021, so hopefully that means a major hit is coming in 2023. I’ll be on the Lauren Alaina train forever, and hopefully the rest of the world catches up soon.
3. Kelsea Ballerini
Kelsea Ballerini is the highest-ranking girl who has been on all three editions of this list. After a divorce in 2022 from Morgan Evans, Kelsea seemed destined to be the most bachelorette in the genre. But, any hopes of her being on the market were crushed quickly. She recently has been confirmed to be dating Outer Banks star Chase Stokes. As her relationship with Stokes grew and became more public, a bitter battle between her and Morgan Evans started. Kelsea threw a lot of shade at him in her recent EP “Rolling up the Welcome Mat” in response to his single “Over For You.” Kelsea has been one of the most consistent country artists in terms of chart performance over the past few years. Is a jump to pop coming soon? As she seems to continue her quest to be the next Taylor Swift, anything is possible.
2. Megan Moroney
Megan may have benefitted from being in the right place right time in 2022. That doesn’t mean she isn’t a force going forwards. The talented singer exploded in the fall of 2022 with “Tennessee Orange.” The song got released with Tennessee football being the best they have been in a long time, ranking as high as #1 this season. Rumors of her and Morgan Wallen being a couple only threw more fuel on the fire of Megan’s career. While I have no doubt that Megan would’ve broken out, she became an overnight success. Big things are in store for Megan going forward. She may no longer be with Morgan Wallen, but she has developed a stable enough platform to grow her own following and be a star for years to come.
1. Lainey Wilson
We have finally arrived at the #1 spot and who else but the fastest rising star in the genre. Lainey Wilson was on fire in 2022. She released the mega album “Bell Bottom Country” in November. She teamed with Cole Swindell on the hit song “Never Say Never.” She teamed with Hardy on “wait in the truck” which might be the biggest song by the end of 2023. Her own single, “Heart Like a Truck” hit #1. Her music is now being featured in Ram truck commercials.
Lainey hasn’t only watched her music soar in success recently. Her entire brand is. In 2022, she landed a major role in a little show called “Yellowstone” and showed that she is a fantastic actor. She also went viral for… her ass. It’s her to not have the girl who went viral for having a dump truck following her wherever she goes at the #1 position. So yes, Lainey takes the #1 spot for 2023, and she might not let it go for a long time.

Welcome back to this weeks Thursday Thoughts! Today, we are going to countdown the Top 10 Female Independent Country Artists.
This list is going to be very similar to our first list. The first list really pissed some people off, so there’s no doubt this one will too! But hey guess what, this is based on a few things. How you have treated me, talent, and how you conduct yourself in conversation and contact when we have it. It’s really that simple. Am I going to miss people? Yup! Is it intentional? Not in all cases. If you were left off the list, honestly, it’s probably because I forgot, overlooked (not on purpose) or our connection just isn’t there. Sorry, maybe you’ll be on the next list. I did notice though tat all of these women except one has been on the show. Interesting.
Making this list was hard as fuck, no word of a lie, the numbering system is almost arbitrary as well. I could go on for days about all of this, but this is the best list and best representation of Women in Independent Country music.

10) Kate Boytek – What can I say about this West Virginia native other than, if you don’t know about her, what the hell are you doing? Kate was on our show a while ago, and her conversation is one of my top 5 favorites when it comes to a conversation. It was absolutely fantastic and everything this show is to be about. She has some singles out there on the digital platforms you should check out. She has quite the voice and a hell of a personality that really comes out in our episode! Kate is a 10, ha, see what I did there, cause she’s also number 10 … no? Fine whatever. Anyway, check out Kate you won’t be disappointed.
9) Chelsea Sulkey – Damn, yo Chelsea is MY GIRL! She is the absolute sweetest and one of our first handful of shows I believe. Her song ‘On Fire’ is probably one of my top 5 indie country songs of all time. This girl is a power house! If you follower her socials, you see she’s not afraid to deal with issues head on and she’s a goddamn super hero. She’s always been super sweet to me and very responsive. I am still a little upset she’s moved out of New York and I can’t see her in August when I am there, but I guess, another reason to take a trip to Nashville.
8) Kirstie Kraus – When I think about Kirstie I think about a young lady who absolutely works her ass off. Her songs are fire, she helps with a rival podcast … I guess we’ll forgive you there … and just does her thing. She has done a lot with us here as well. Her take overs on our page have gotten some of the biggest views and we absolutely love talking to her and pushing what she has out. Check out Kirstie, you won’t be disappointed.
7) Taylor Hughes – This weeks guest obviously is on the list right? Hell yeah she is!! Taylor’s powerhouse vocals and love for all things bourbon has her where she is. She’s also been one of the most caring supportive people of us here at the Boots & Whiskey Podcast. She gets back to us quickly and very grateful. My favorite thing is being able to talk bourbon with her and learn so much I never had known before. If you haven’t already go check out this weeks episode for more about her!
6) Payton Howie – I had heard about Payton a year ago now. Our friend Liam Coleman and her were roommates at one point if I remember correctly and he suggested we get in contact with her and my god are we glad we did. This girl has a no BS approach to her career and her music. She has an attitude that you don’t want to cross the wrong way. She is fierce, independent and someone who won’t take no for an answer. We love her attitude and her music and her desire and grit to keep going!
5) Taylor O’Connor – Tay Oco as she is listed in my phone, is a Massachusetts native who is an absolute sneaky powerhouse. She’s played in all kinds of bad ass rooms in Nashville, and if you’re ever in the area check her out, because she’s not to be missed! Her latest song ‘Back’ is absolutely fire and if you haven’t done so yet, go take a listen.
4) Dariann Leigh – Maybe the best known or recognized name on the list in the independent world, Dariann is absolutely killing in Nashville. She really has what it takes to be a “star” in the very near future. She has a team that’s behind her 100% and her music just speaks for itself. Dariann and I don’t have the “closest” friendship, but her talent alone has her in the top 5, not gonna lie.
3) Maddye Trew – Damn this is a hard one to put at number 3 only because her and I and her team have become sooooo close. This girl could easily be number 1. Why isn’t she then? I don’t know? Like I said the numbers are totally arbitrary. Legit, this is the only person on this list that came onto the Spotify playlist and I had to re listen because I couldn’t believe her. Her latest tune ‘Dear Loretta’ is the perfect love letter to a Queen from someone who surely can be a Queen someday. Maddye is force and if she keeps releasing tunes at the level she is, damn, look out!
2) April Cushman – The heart and soul of Swanzye NH! April is probably the best song writer on this list. Her latest album ‘The Long Haul’ is absolutely fantastic top to bottom. She was just in Nashville playing some great spots and is moments from really breaking out and everyone knowing who April Cushman is. IF you’re in Nashville and haven’t hear of April yet, do yourself a favor and check her out!
1) Taylor Austin Dye – Here we are number one. TAD as she is so affectionately referred to as, was one of the first episodes we did. I have a huge soft spot in my heart for this girl. She has done some absolutely incredible stuff over the last year musically as well. Her social media presence is absolutely insane and she has everything in the works to be the next “big thing”

We decided to rank the hottest Nascar wives! The NASCAR season is finally coming back! With a new generation of car, new drivers, and old faces in new places, it’ll be sick to see who can adapt and overcome to be the 2022 champion. Last year, Kyle Larson absolutely drove out of everyone’s lives to win the title, can he repeat? Can Hendrick stay as dominant as a team as they were last year? Or will the new cars level the playing field and create a new dominant team?
As tradition has it with a new season opening, we decided to rank the wives and girlfriends of the drivers. To qualify, the driver had to be in the Monster Energy Series and be a full-time driver. Just like other articles of this type such as our PBR hottest wives’ article and hottest country singers’ article, this stipulation might have led us to missing some beautiful people, but we didn’t have all the time in the world to dig through every driver behind the wheel of a modified car. Again, I am just the messenger, and these results were compiled from multiple voters of both male and female variety. Without further a due, here are the hottest women of NASCAR entering the 2022 season!
This was another fun one, as today we counted down the hottest country music WAGS for 2022. Similarly, to the hottest women in country music article, these ladies husbands had to appear on one of the various year-end billboard charts to get qualify. After we sorted out who made the cut, we had to narrow it down from well over forty beautiful ladies to ten. After a series of voting, we ended up doing that! The science wasn’t perfect, but we ended up with a strong list. We have ladies from all walks of life. Some work regular 9-5 jobs despite their men’s success, while others have used there platforms to gain massive social media followings. Some wives you will recognize right away, others you might not. Some of them have millions of followers, others have less than 1000. Without further a-due, here are the 10 hottest wives, girlfriends, and fiancés of country music artists for 2022.

Here we are again, these are the 10 hottest women in country music for 2022! I’ve been excited for this one. For those who haven’t seen, the 2021 hottest country artists blog was by FAR the most popular one on our website. That was last year though, and it’s time to update it. Just like last year, to qualify the artist either had to be one of the top 50 billboard country artists of 2021 or had to have a top 100 country song last year on a variety of billboard charts. That left us a list of 16 artists to work with. Then, through a small committee of people voting, we narrowed the list down to 10.
This year, the list has four new names on it as Ingrid Andress, Maddie Font, Nelly Joy, and Taylor Dye, failed to make any of the charts needed to qualify for the list. There also was a lot of changes in the list, as last year’s number one is now two, and the top three features two new names on the list.
Keep in mind while reading this that this list is meant to be lighthearted and fun, not any sort of bashing of anyone. Everyone has their own opinions, and this is just the culmination of a few of ours. If you want to take it seriously and look at it as more than that, politely fuck off. Now, here are the top 10 hottest country artists going into 2022.
10. Miranda Lambert
Last years number seven is the top of our list in 2022. Miranda Lambert, the queen of country music, qualified for the list by being the 14th ranked artist on the billboard top country artist chart, as well as charting on various charts with her songs “Settling Down” and “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home.)
At 38 years, she is tied with one other person for the oldest artist on the list, which is crazy as it seems like just yesterday Lambert broke into the country music world with “Kerosene.” For all of the horny guys reading this, Lambert is happily married to a former cop named Brendan McLoughlin. He has been with her at plenty of public events so you can see what he looks like, and yes, he could beat you up. All and all, things seem to be going very well for Lambert, and for 2022 she will continue her reign on the hottest women in country music chart.
9. Kacey Musgraves
The first newcomer to the list and perhaps the most controversial. Musgraves qualified by being ranked 22 on the year end top country artist chart. She didn’t have anything on the song charts, meaning that her qualification was based on her new album as a whole and new music. Her album, “Star-Crossed”, which I personally haven’t listened to, was called not country by the Grammy’s, but that was met with controversy, so here she is. I miss gritty Kacey Musgraves of old. Her first album, “Same Trailer Different Park” featured the singles “Merry Go ‘Round” and “Blowin’ Smoke” two songs that made me like her. However, despite being sort of blackballed by country radio for no good reason, Musgraves still has a large following. She has worked herself into a pop/country sound, that attracts people from both sides of the isle.
Musgraves, 33, was divorced in September 2020 from her husband Ruston Kelly. Since then, she has been seen here and there on casual dates, but seems to still be single. Don’t worry guys, she’s way out of your league and defiantly won’t date you. Musgraves wasn’t on last year’s list, making 2022 the first year she is one of the ten hottest artists in country music.
8. Lauren Alaina
Lauren Alaina seems like the most fun person in the world. She’s so energetic, she always has a punny Instagram caption, and she’s attractive. Alain, ranked fifth last year, just barely was able to hang on and qualify for the list. In fact, she only was able to hang on because “One Beer” by Hardy was still lingering in the top 100 hot country songs of 2022 list.
Alaina, 27, has admitted that she is in a relationship with someone behind the scenes, but because her public breakup with comedian John Crist in 2019 she won’t be open about the relationship. Alaina was forced to make a really tough decision last year, as Dustin Lynch wanted to release his song “Thinkin ‘Bout You” featuring her to country radio, but she was working on another duet with Jon Pardi called “Getting Over Him.” Ultimately Lynch had to rerecord the song with another artist who may or may not appear on this list later, and it became a monster smash. With “Over Him” still climbing the chart, it remains to be seen if she made a good decision or not.
In my opinion, Alaina is the second-best singer on this list, yet the most ignored and undervalued singer on it. She has just one #1 song, “The Road Less Traveled” from 2016. Besides that, she hasn’t even cracked the top thirty. Hopefully 2022 is a better year for Alaina, and she finally gets a well-deserved second number one.
7. Carly Pearce
Carly Pearce had the biggest challenge of almost any artist last year, trying to follow up her smash with Lee Brice, “Hope Your Happy Now.” I think the song she released, “Next Girl” was my favorite female sang song of last year, and it didn’t get her a number one, but it made enough noise to be a success. Pearce as ranked as the 49th artist in country music last year, and “Next Girl” was on both the hot country song and airplay country song charts in the mid 40s.
Pearce, 31, went through a very public divorce with Michael Ray in 2020, and is now dating a guy named Riley King who does real estate. I put her on a list with Lauren Alaina as a super underappreciated artist who will hopefully get the airplay, she deserves next year.
6. Lainey Wilson
Lainey is the first of three artists to have their debut single peak last year, with “Things a Man Outta Know” topping the chart. Wilson was the 33rd ranked country artist according to billboard, beating out artists like Dierks Bentley and Chris Young. She recently released her follow-up single with Cole Swindell, “Never Say Never.”
Wilson is a 29-year-old from Louisiana, and if you ever have heard her talk her southern roots are very apparent. I couldn’t find if she was single or not, but based on her Instagram page I believe she is. Big things are ahead for Wilson, and if “Say Never” is the smash it sounds like it is, she will probably be back on this chart next year.
5. Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood… America’s sweetheart. Carrie Underwood has been my celebrity crush since little eight-year-old me saw her on American Idol way back in 2004. Well now I feel old as fuck. But anyway, Carrie Underwood is now 38 and still looks fantastic. She is still the best singer in country music, and everything she touches turns to gold instantly. Carrie didn’t release any new music in 2021, but she was still the 10th ranked country artist by billboard. She did hop on a duet with Jason Aldean, “If I Didn’t Love You” which was a smash hit, ranking high in most of the music charts and being a two-week number one. I’d expect that Underwood will be releasing a new album next year.
Underwood is married to Mike Fisher, a former Predators hockey player. He has taken some flack the past few years for being anti vaccine, but unlike the mainstream media we appreciate him for speaking up against something many people feel is wrong. Underwood hasn’t been as public about her opinions, but it seems like she probably agrees with him for the most part.
Underwood was on the chart last year, ranked number four overall. I think that as long as she makes music, she will always be on this chart. In the almost twenty years she’s been in the public eye, she went from every country boy crush to a total MILF, and I’m excited to see what’s next.
4. Gabby Barrett
Talk about someone who only knows how to release monster songs. Gabby Barrett had two songs ranked in the top ten of almost every chart last year, “I Hope” and “The Good Ones.” She was the highest-ranking female on billboards list, coming in at number 4, ahead of Luke Bryan, Kane Brown, and Dan and Shay. That’s massive for an artist who is on just her third single and is only 21 years old. I still think of her as a mini-Carrie Underwood, which is a major compliment. They sound very similar, and Barrett has a strong voice just like Carrie.
Barrett has been very good at keeping a low profile despite her success. She only seems to pop up at an award show, blow everyone away, and then goes back down and sits with her kid and her husband. She doesn’t look like she runs her own socials either, I think she likes just dropping a monster smash and then retreating to Texas to be with her family.
It’s hard to see Gabby Barrett not being back on this list next year. Her song “Footprints on the Moon” appears to have dropped off the chart, so we will have to see if she decides to go back to “Goldmine” for another single or drop a new song. Either way, Barrett is extremely talented and attractive, and that’s why she is ranked number four this year.
3. Tenille Arts
The next artist who had a breakthrough in 2021 with her song “Somebody Like That” going all the way to #2 on the chart, Tenille Arts. Arts is a Canadian country singer, who has been releasing stuff north of the boarder since 2015. She started gaining some traction in America in 2018, with her song “I Hate This” charting as a hot country song. However, it wasn’t until “Like That” came in and brought her to the next level that she really started to see success. She didn’t rank in the top 50 country artists, but she did rank well on most of the music charts. The 27-year-old Arts is in a relationship with a guy named Tyler Corrado.
2. Kelsea Ballerini
Here is where it gets fun. Kelsea Ballerini, or last year’s number one, slides back one spot to number two. She was the 26th ranked artist last year by billboard. She had three pretty big songs including “I Quit Drinking,” “Hole in the Bottle” and the still climbing “Half of my Hometown.” At just 28 years old she is leading the new wave of country female superstars along with artists like Maren Morris, Gabby Barret, and Carly Pearce. Ballerini has been married to fellow musician Morgan Evans for a few years now.
I also wanted to take this opportunity to publicly apologize to Kelsea, because last year I posted an Instagram story giving her shit for some comments she had made at an award show, in which she messaged me to clap back at what I said. I honestly don’t remember what I had said, but this website isn’t designed to piss people off or make enemies, so Kelsea if you ever see this it’s my formal apology.
1. MacKenzie Porter
Ok, we finally made it to #1! We’re going back north of the border and giving the award to MacKenzie Porter. Porter has been around a little bit, and even has a few number ones in Canada, but she finally got her first big break in America when Dustin Lynch wanted to rerecord “Thinkin ‘Bout You” to release to the radio. As we mentioned before, the song was an absolute smash hit and will likely propel Porter to release more music to America. Porter, 31, is married to Jake Etheridge, so congratulations to him for being married to the hottest girl in country music.

Welcome to the new Beats Beer Bonfires, where today we will feature the hottest PBR wives. The one where we report on the hard-hitting shit that the other people are too afraid of reporting on. The first order of business is to cover a new sport, and probably the most badass one in the world. Anyone who has ever been to a PBR event knows that this is just a fact. Any psychopath who is stupid enough to get on the back of a 2000-pound animal that wants to murder you for our entertainment is cool in my book.
We already did our PBR season preview that you can see here. This article is to get to know the riders a little better, and by that we mean the women behind them. These women live lives where they go watch their husbands literally get mauled by bulls every weekend. That’s fucking crazy. In fact, George Strait literally wrote a song about how a women couldn’t live that life and left a guy, yet he still made Cheyenne.
Not every bull rider’s wife or girlfriend qualified for this list unfortunately. To get on the list, the rider had to be in the top 50 in the PBR world rankings, mostly because there are hundreds of riders, and this is only a part time job right now. The rankings are not mine, but they were compiled by a vote of a large variety of people, I am simply the messenger here. Some of them are social media influencers Without further a due here are the top 10 first ladies of the top bull riders in the world.

There were no specifics on how to judge hot, besides just who is attractive. This list was formed by voting from both men and women, so don’t come at me with any sexiest bullshit. I’m just the messenger in this operation. The list was taken from any female artist who had a hot 100 country song in 2020. I disqualified Taylor Swift because fuck Taylor Swift. After the dust settled here are who my crew picked as the ten hottest females in country.
I just wanted to say that while writing this article I realized the quality of country music by women is higher than it’s been in a while. I wrote multiple times that I really like a song by an artist, and I completely mean it. As a true country music fan, I don’t want to hear “80s Mercedes” or “Miss Me More.” I want stuff that feels like it actually belongs on country radio. All ten of these women did that last year, and while I might not be a big fan of “Bluebird” at least I feel like it’s a country song. Without further adue, here are our top ten hottest women in country music.
10. Ingrid Andress
With her first single, “More Hearts Than Mine” reaching top 5 on country radio, Andress came out of the gates hard on her career. The song is one of the best female sang songs I’ve heard in a while. The 29-year-old also released the album “Lady Like” which was met with outstanding reviews. Andress gains points because she often posts pictures of herself in attractive outfits but loses points because she doesn’t really fit the country girl mold that a lot of people on this site enjoy in a girl. She gives off Los Angeles vibes, which doesn’t help her in the country genre.

9. Maddie Font
The blonde member of Maddie and Tae, Maddie gives off the more relatable cute girl vibes than other celebrities give. Maddie recently got married, which is good for her husband, but hurts the bachelors of the world. Her Instagram is a mix of goofy pictures, husband appreciation posts, and career highlights.
8. Nelly Joy
Most people don’t know her by name, but Nelly Joy is a member of Gone West, a band who had moderate success in 2020 with the single, “What Could’ve Been.” I couldn’t really tell you much about Nelly Joy, besides that she is a good looking blonde from Texas. I’m not really sure what she does in the band, I’m not sure what her background is, I don’t even really know anything about her band. However she got voted onto this list because she isn’t bad to look at.
7. Miranda Lambert
She isn’t my type, which might have hurt her a little bit, but she is many other guys types. Out of everyone who voted, I was the only person to leave Lambert off my list. She has been a staple of country music for a long time, and finally got the success that she hasn’t been getting in a few years now when “Bluebird” topped the radio charts. Lambert is another female who recently got married, and isn’t the last one on the list, to a New York cop. Lambert has a mix of a country girl but also hippie vibe going, one pic she is walking with her horses, and in another she is wearing feather earrings. Although Lambert isn’t one of my favorites, she is one of the top women in a genre that is incredibly harsh on women and deserves more recognition than she gets.
6. Taylor Dye
The other half of Maddie and Tae, I admit that I had a huge crush on her from the early days of her career. Since then we have both grown up a bit more, and the crush has faded, but she still isn’t bad to look at. Another member of the newly married crew, Tae is similar to Maddie in a lot of ways. Neither of them hide their husbands, in fact they often post about them, which a lot of women don’t do because it creates a situation where a part of their audience might be lost if they aren’t “available.” Public relationships create a lot of scrutiny, something that artists like Lauren Alaina and Carly Pearce discuss. (possible teaser?) I think I will always have a small crush on Tae, but apparently the rest of my friends don’t share the same sentiment, so she gets number 6 on the list.
5. Lauren Alaina
Lauren Alaina has had an interesting past with her looks. She said that she grew up having body image issues, and a few problems as a result. However after her days on American Idol, she seemed to have gotten the help she needed, and now has accepted and celebrated who she is. Alaina is a super funny, bubbly girl, which gets her points for a lot of us. She also might be the only girl on the list who doesn’t fit into a mold like the other girls on the list do.
Most of the people who voted don’t know Alaina’s story, and don’t give a shit about her past, they think she is attractive now, and I hope that says a lot about how being proud of who you are. Alaina is part of the not single club, as are most of the girls on this list, meaning there are a bunch of guys who won’t see this that should be proud of themselves.
4. Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood might have been number one on the list before she fell down her stairs a few years ago. There were rumors that she didn’t actually fall, and she had bad plastic surgery, but either way the events dropped her a little. In a list full of girls in their twenties, Underwood is approaching forty and still looks good despite the incident. Carrie Underwood is the perfect storm; she came from some farm in bum fuck nowhere and won American Idol. Her voice is the best in the entire genre, and only Lauren Alaina is close to her in my opinion. She recently took a little hiatus to her country music career to make Christmas and gospel albums, but I have a feeling by summer she will have a new single out. She has her own clothing line too, and often models the clothes herself on her Instagram.
3. Gabby Barrett
Gabby Barrett probably gets tired of hearing this, but she is Carrie Underwood Jr. She is a very attractive blonde, who can sing really well. When “I Hope” first hit radio, I thought it was Carrie Underwood for a few weeks, and I wasn’t alone. Barrett is only twenty-one years old and is already married with a kid. Its bold for a new artist to have a kid, because it takes a lot of attention to your career to grow it. Based on how “I Hope” did and her new single “The Good Ones” is going up the charts, Barrett is in good shape. Unless the magical world of radio fucks her over like the rest of the women in country, Barret is going to be leading the charge of young females very soon.
2. Carly Pearce
It took until number two, but we finally have a confirmed bachelorette on the list! Nothing against Carly, I wouldn’t wish divorce on anyone, but something about her changed for the better after she became single. I think that it also has something to do with the fact that her career really started to take off the same time she became single. Her song “I Hope Your Happy Now” was easily the best song by a female last year, and yes it has Lee Brice on it, but when Charles Kelly sang the song live with her at the CMA awards, it became clear that Pearce was the essential part of the song.
Her newest song “Next Girl” a fuck you to Michael Ray (who has a next girl girl now) is an absolute jam. I really want to like female artists, but when the music is coming from Maren Morris or Gwen Stefani, its hard to like. Carly Pearce is different, she actually makes enjoyable music. I listened to “29” her newest album, and while I wouldn’t necessarily suggest it on this platform, I would suggest it to anyone who really like country. Its super personal, and it comes through as that, but it comes across well, not just a money grab based on her highly public divorce. Stock in Carly Pearce is on the way up, and I’m jumping on the bandwagon super early.
1. Kelsea Ballerini
Finally, we arrive at number one. Kelsea Ballerini has worked her way up to the top spot, and the vote was nearly unanimous. Kelsea is the hot blonde in country music, she always looks good, and knows how to work the crowd. In the past year, she seems to have gotten more confident in her own skin and started to wear some good-looking outfits. The ironic part of the list, none of us really like her music. She’s super poppy, and in an interview said she released “Hole in a Bottle” because “if she’s a country singer she needs to have a drinking song.”
At the end of the day, she’s just a better-looking Taylor Swift, and to be honest I wouldn’t be surprised if she only stayed country for a few years and then took the pop route. None of us really hate Ballerini, there are artists that qualified for this list that a few of us agree are physically attractive, but annoying as fuck, so they didn’t get as many votes. Its still early in the year, but “Hole in a Bottle” just hit number one recently, so I expect Ballerini to be right back in this position next year.
That’s our list, what do you guys think? It’s hard to narrow down the artists that qualify for the list, so I found this to be the best. Other artists that might have cracked the top ten include Lindsey Ell, and Kacey Musgraves, but if we included them where do we stop? I think 2021 will be a year in which a lot more females have success, so I expect next year the pool to be much deeper of options. But for now, these are the top ten hottest women in country music.
